Advancement Areas

At GFWC Florida, we are committed to advancing our impact in key areas that are critical to the well-being of our communities. Our advancement areas serve as focal points for our collective efforts, allowing us to address pressing issues and drive positive change. From promoting education and health to advocating for social justice and environmental sustainability, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Through strategic initiatives and collaborative partnerships, we work tirelessly to elevate our impact and create a better future for all Floridians.

The Advancement Areas

GFWC Florida's Advancement Areas focus on key aspects of club development and member enrichment. These areas include Leadership, Membership, Fundraising, Public Relations, and Legislation/Public Policy. Each area provides Clubs with essential resources, training, and support to enhance their effectiveness and impact. Through these focused efforts, GFWC empowers members to grow as leaders, increase membership, secure necessary funding, communicate effectively, and advocate for important legislative issues.

Legislation and Public Policy

For over a century, GFWC Florida members have passionately advocated for national awareness on critical issues. Our efforts are practical, not political, focusing on implementing solutions through legislative action. Members have successfully influenced laws on highway safety, juvenile justice, women's suffrage, disability rights, equal pay, and support for victims of domestic violence. GFWC Florida educates and mobilizes club women to unite in advocating for our legislative priorities.
