Subject: GFWC Florida Recording Secretary Vacancy

Dear Fellow GFWC Florida members,
I regret to inform you that we have received the resignation of GFWC
Florida Recording Secretary Michele Abramo to be effective immediately.
Although the GFWC Executive Commitee must vote to accept this
resignation, practically speaking, we need to take action to fill this
position at Fall Board.
The bylaws (Article VI Officers, Section 4 B Vacancies) specify that a
vacancy in the recording secretary position be filled by a majority vote
of the Executive Committee (EC) at a called meeting of the EC within 30
days of the receipt of the vacancy. Since the Executive Committee is
already scheduled to meet before the Fall Board on Thursday, September
27, this matter will be taken up at that time. The EC choice will then
be ratified by the Board of Directors at the Fall Board of Directors
meeting on Friday, September 28.
We are encouraging any member who is interested in performing this
position to please contact any member of the Executive Committee on or
before September 25. Members who are interested in this position must
fulfill the following criteria (See Article VI, Officers, Section 2
Eligibility D. )
1. be a member in good standing of an GFWC Florida woman's club.
2. have served a full term as president of a per capita dues paying GFWC
Florida club.
3. have served a minimum of two terms on the GFWC Florida board of
directors.
