Fundraisers in support of the project are listed below.
Dear Esteemed Patron,
The GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs is holding fundraisers to
aid in Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. We are requesting your help
in supporting the important work, done by MD Anderson Cancer Center of
Orlando for breast cancer patients affected by this disease.
Our fundraisers are being organized by the GFWC-FL Breast Cancer
Awareness Committee and will be attended by many hundreds of patrons.
Funds raised for these events will significantly increase the amount
available for donation to MD Anderson Breast Cancer Research which in
turn will make such a difference for Breast Cancer, Prevention, and
Cure.
A diagnosis of Breast Cancer along with the treatment associated with
that diagnosis, it affects a patient both physically and emotionally.
The family is highly involved and it can change lives of the whole
family unit. MD Anderson is in the forefront of many research programs,
Sloan-Kettering, Mayo, Disney Cancer Institute are a few that depend on
MD Anderson. Delivering these vital cures build new HOPE for those faced
with complex and challenging choices.
Fundraising for research makes a difference and you can feel apart of
this by your donation. We would also like for you to learn more about
our Federation: Founded in 1869 by a female journalist, turned away at
the door, for a dinner for Charles Dickens, she vowed never to have a
woman treated with such disrespect again. She had MOXY back in those
days as we have in the generous work all of our clubs throughout the
